Into the river I bleed in haste

Twixt body parts and body waste

A ribbon red adorns my torment

Appears to me in lustrous garment

Great spirit now make me believe

Heaven’s reprieve is there for me

For I have a lot of karma

Hare Krishna Hare Rama

See but how the pain is bright

At once I am now full of light

See how the pain begins to be

When it shows itself to me

Origin of the Tides

There once was a fisherman

who threw his heart into the lake

the water did not give it back

his breast in two did break

in wrath he tore the stars from night

the water short withdrew from sight

then waves drove blind across the land

the helpless streams did break their bands

the high tides wept most furiously

the salty seas did come to be

from fisher’s hand one star was torn

a sentry fire left on shore

among the strayed hearts
